Travis Cortez, Staff Accountant

Travis recently transitioned from intern to Staff Accountant in February of 2017. He is planning to use this opportunity to find his niche in the business world. Travis graduated from UAF with his Bachelor’s in Accounting in December of 2016. He is currently working towards his Capital Markets MBA while testing for his CPA license.

Travis was born and raised in Fairbanks and earned an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences from UAA in 2000, with an emphasis in Automotive Technology. He worked in the field for 12 years earning his Ford Senior Master Certification before transitioning into teaching Automotive Technology for UAF Community Technical College. After deciding to return to college to pursue a better understanding of business, he found the accounting program at UAF suited his personality. Travis is excited to develop his professional business skills to better help his Fairbanks community.
